MONMOUTH, Ill. — The Monmouth College chemistry department recently
received a $9,000 grant from the Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical

According to associate chemistry professor Patricia Draves, who

isolating metal compounds and analyzing environmental water runoff
samples.
“It will be a versatile and welcome addition to our department,”
Draves said.
Monmouth was one of 13 small colleges in the United States to
receive grants totaling $100,000 under the Pittsburgh Conference’s
