MONMOUTH, Ill. — Ian J. Moschenross, assistant professor of music at
Monmouth College, has been selected to participate in the
prestigious TCU/Cliburn Piano Institute, May 19-25, in Fort Worth,
Texas.
One of only 12 pianists chosen to participate in the Teachers

musicians from around the world audition annually by submitting live
recordings of their performances. Held on the campus of Texas
Christian University, the Institute is presented in conjunction with
the high-profile Van Cliburn International Piano Competition,
featuring 30 of the world’s most promising young pianists.

the world of concertizing and the halls of academia. In addition to its
teachers program, the annual event includes programs for young artists
and amateurs.

master of music degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) in
2003 and 2000, respectively. A frequent recitalist and collaborative
pianist, he twice won UNL’s Graduate Concerto Competition and was the

College, where his major teacher was C. Kimm Hollis. While at Hanover,
