VITA income tax program starts Monday at MC
Release Date: January 28, 2005
MONMOUTH, Ill. — Monmouth College accounting students are offering
free computerized tax preparation and e-filing in cooperation with
the Internal Revenue Service’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance
Program. The tax preparation will be on a first-come, first-served
basis.
VITA volunteers will be available from 4-7 p.m. at Monmouth College
in Room 308 of McMichael Academic Hall on Monday, Wednesday and
Thursday from Jan. 31 to Feb. 10. Beginning Feb. 14, VITA will be
available each Monday and Wednesday evening from 4-7 p.m.
Tax assistance will also be available from the same group of MC
students each Saturday afternoon at the Warren County Library from
1-4 p.m. starting Feb. 5.
Taxpayers are reminded to bring their Social Security cards and all
tax information with them. For questions regarding this service,
