MONMOUTH, Ill. — Joe Angotti, visiting professor of
communications at Monmouth College,
will speak on his 22-year career in network television news, March 16 at 7
p.m., at the Buchanan Center for the Arts, 64 Public Square.
Admission is free and refreshments will be served. Doors
will open at 6:30 p.m.
Sponsored by the Warren County Library and the Buchanan
Center for the Arts, the talk will focus on Angotti's experiences as
executive producer for NBC Nightly News. He will also comment on the
state of television news today.
Prior to joining the MC faculty, Angotti served as chair
of the Broadcast Department of the Medill School of Journalism at
Northwestern University. He and his wife, Monmouth native Karen Bowman
Angotti, recently retired to Monmouth, where they run a horse-riding
therapy program for disabled children.
