MC’s Cramer to speak on
energy issues at Associates

MONMOUTH, Ill. — Monmouth College biology professor Ken Cramer will present the
program at the next Monmouth Associates luncheon on April 17 at noon in
the Whiteman-McMillan Highlander Room of the college’s Stockdale Center.
Entitled "Peak Oil, Global Warming and Our Energy Future," Cramer’s
talk will examine energy issues and possible solutions, including wind
power. Last semester, students in Cramer’s "Green Initiatives" course
researched the feasibility of bringing wind power to the MC campus. The
Associates talk should help the audience get into the spirit of Earth
Day, which is April 22.
The program is free; a buffet lunch costs $8. Reservations can be
made by calling 309-457-2316 by April 14 or by going online at

A free shuttle van will transport passengers from downtown to all
luncheons. The van leaves from the northeast quadrant of the Public
Square at approximately 11:55 a.m., and returns immediately following
the program. Shuttle reservations should be made by calling the above
number.
