April 22, 2008
MONMOUTH, Ill. — Nancy Loch, a graduate of the University of
Illinois, has been hired as Monmouth College’s coordinator of creative
and design services. She began her duties in the newly-created position
on April 15.
"Nancy was selected from a field of several very talented designers
who applied for the position," said J. Lance Cavanaugh, MC’s vice
president for development and college relations. "Her extensive
experience in a higher education environment and her imaginative and
analytical approach to graphic design really helped her to stand out in
the search process."
Loch comes to Monmouth from Champaign, where she has been principal
of her own design firm for the past 10 years. She previously spent 10
years as a media communications specialist at the University of Illinois
and was the lead graphic artist at Parkland College for four years. Her
degree at the University of Illinois was in graphic design.
Loch’s duties at Monmouth will include supporting the college’s
identity, marketing and branding program by designing alumni,
development, admission and student affairs publications. She will assist
with Web site design and work with faculty and staff on departmental
