MONMOUTH, Ill. — “Clay and Paper,” an exhibit by Galesburg High School teacher Chris Dokolasa, is on display through Oct. 31 in the college’s Len G. Everett Gallery in Hewes Library.

“The process of creating with clay gives me more than just a finished product,” said Dokolasa, who received the Teacher of the Year Award from the Galesburg Chamber of Commerce in 1997. “The possibilities are endless.”

Dokolasa, who has taught art at GHS since 1986, earned her undergraduate degree in fine arts from Eastern Illinois University and continued her studies in England before receiving a master’s degree in education from St. Xavier University.

The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular library hours: Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to midnight; Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, noon to midnight.
