Retirement gives Welch another
problem to solve
Ask a college senior about his or
her plans for after commencement, and the reply might be, “I
still haven’t decided.” Ask Monmouth College mathematics
professor Lyle Welch that question, and his reply will be the
same. |

Scots football fans of the early 1980s will remember Nash as the
undersized nose guard who earned first team All-Midwest Conference

of a pivotal goal-line stand in his final game at Monmouth, stuffing a
quarterback sneak to preserve a 3-3 tie vs. Knox in the annual Bronze

Chemical Stability: Gebauer,

century ago. |

Fuel for though: MC in the process

Rankin ’79 has firsthand knowledge of much of the history of Monmouth
College and the stage. Growing up in Monmouth, he attended Crimson
Masque productions in the 1960s, starred in them in the ’70s, promoted them
in the ’80s and, since 1989, has been a full-time member of the
college’s theatre department. |
