The Monmouth women
stretched their top-four team trophy string from their home invitational meet to five
consecutive seasons with a fourth-place finish on the Monmouth City Park course. Two
Fighting Scot runners placed in the top 20 to receive All-State medallions and senior
Gretchen Vandergriff became only the second Monmouth female runner to earn four All-State
cross country medals.
