Melissa Jones, an '03 Monmouth College graduate, took over the Fighting Scots program in 2005. Jones finished her MC playing career as the school’s third-leading scorer with 1,318 points. She was selected to the All-MWC basketball squad in all four seasons. Also a member of the Scots’ volleyball and track teams, Jones was named all-conference an amazing 15 times out of a possible 16 athletic seasons. Her All-American career was completed in style with her selection as Illinois’ NCAA Woman of the Year winner in 2003. She was also a top 10 finalist for the national award.
