TEAM HISTORY
During
their third season as a varsity sport, the Fighting Scots continued
to rewrite the team's record book while setting a new standard for
low team score three times. A new individual 18 and 36-hole record
was established by Molly McNamara. Tournament medalist honors were
earned by Amy Rassman and Michelle Vazquez.
The trio of McNamara, Rassman and Vazquez also earned
All-Conference honors as they paced the Scots to a second place
finish at the Midwest Conference Tournament. The Scots captured their
first-ever conference title in 2002.
HOME COURSE
Monmouth plays its home matches on the
demanding, 5,814-yard, par-75 Gibson Woods Golf Course. The
course is aptly named with rolling fairways guarded by old-growth
trees and strategically-placed bunkers. The course is the home to
the Monmouth-Roseville High School boys' golf team which has produced eight state
team titles and six individual state champs.
