ROGER
HAYNES has completed his 25th season as the indoor track &
field coach at Monmouth and his ninth as the head coach of the women's program. Under Haynes'
direction, Monmouth's track program has experienced unparalleled success. The dominant
team in the Midwest Conference since 1990, the Fighting Scots men have won
15 of the
last 18 indoor track & field conference titles.
Monmouth's men have won 170 indoor
individual and relay conference titles and the program can claim 45 NCAA
Indoor National Championship qualifiers and 30 indoor All-Americans
including the 2008 national pole vault champion. A former school record holder in the high jump,
Haynes graduated from Monmouth in 1982 and still holds the college record in the javelin
throw (205'8"). In 2007, Haynes was named the Division III
Men's National Coach of the Year for the indoor season by the U.S.
Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. He was inducted into the Monmouth M-Club Hall of Fame in 1997. Haynes
also serves as Monmouth's Athletic Director and as an instructor in the Department of Physical Education.

Indoor Track Team
Members of the Fighting Scots men's track team pose with
their second place team trophy from the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships held March 14-15 in Ada, Ohio. It was the team's highest finish at the national meet in the history of the program. The Scots placed third at last year's outdoor nationals.

Reschke named MWC Performer of the Week

Monmouth College junior sprinter Luke Reschke (Geneseo, Ill./Geneseo) was named the Midwest Conference Performer of the Week in men’s track after an outstanding performance at last weekend’s Wartburg Invitational held in Waverly, Iowa.
Reschke won two events and provisionally qualified for next month’s NCAA indoor championships in both events. The junior won the 400-meters with the nation’s best time of 48.93. He joined Jacob Stott, Brad Gross and Aaron Daverin to win the 4x400 relay in a conference-best 3:20.27. The 4x4 time ranks 10th nationally. He also ran a 6.68 in the 55-meter dash prelims to rank sixth in the MWC.
Wilson is MWC Performers of the Week

Thanks to a provisional qualifying performance in his
first meet, Monmouth College track athlete Zach Wilson (Lacon,
Ill./Midland) was named Midwest Conference Field Performer of the Week
in men’s indoor track and field.
Wilson hit provisional marks in both of his events. The senior took
first in the weight throw (59’2-1/4) and shot put (51’2-3/4). His mark
in the weight throw bested his closest competitor by nearly eight feet
and ranks him third in the nation. His shot put is ranked sixth.
