Monmouth dominated the field to win its
fourth straight indoor and sixth consecutive overall track &
field team title at Knox. Dennis Staggs and Brian Houzenga lead the
way as both were double winners in individual meets and were part of relay
victories. Staggs broke the tape in the 55H and 200H, Houzenga beat the
competition in the 200 and 400 dashes, Houzenga's time in the 400 of 49:36
was a new meet record. Houzenga and Staggs teamed with Joel Hagaman
and Toby Vallas to capture first in the 4x200 with a meet record time of
1:30.25. Houzenga and Vallas were also part of the winning 4x400
relay with Justin Bryant and David Kimber. Jeromy Hogan took top
honors in the high jump. |
