The Fighting Scots completed their second
consecutive indoor/outdoor trophy sweep with the MWC outdoor championship at Carroll.
Monmouth won both titles in 1995 and repeated the sweep again in 1996. Three athletes won
four events as Jamie Verstraete took a distance double in the 3000m steeplechase and 5000
meters to go along with individual wins by Shawn Maze (high jump) and David Thompson (long
jump). |
