The Fighting Scots won their first outdoor championship since 1993 at Carroll and completed an unprecedented women=s indoor/outdoor trophy sweep. Monmouth, which had won the indoor league meet in March, outscored the nearest team by 70 points to win the program=s fourth MWC track and field championship. Heather Furrow added the outdoor 200, 400 and long jump to her indoor victories and Christy Hickey claimed the 100 meters and 100m hurdles. Tennille McClure swept the shot and discus events and the Scots raced to victory in both relays, setting a new conference record in the 4x100.
