Kevin Clarey Named MWC Player of the Week

First baseman Kevin Clarey of Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way High School, picked up the most recent Midwest Conference Southern Division Player of the Week honors.

The sweet-swinging senior picked up hits in each of the Scots three games last week, extending his hitting streak to 10 games. Clarey raised his batting average to .402 while going 5-for-8 at the plate which included a home run against Division I foe the University of Illinois-Chicago.

Clarey will finish his career at Monmouth as one of the top-10 hitters in school history. 

Monmouth College will meet St. Norbert College in the MWC Tournament May 12 in Grinnell, Iowa. The winner of the conference tournament will receive an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
