Spranger named MWC Player of the Week

Monmouth College’s Kenny Spranger has been named the Midwest Conference Player of the Week for his solid performance in the Fighting Scots’ three wins last week. The 6 foot-4 forward from Moline, Ill. (HS) was instrumental as the Scots stayed in the thick of the conference race.

Spranger netted 16 points in victories against Illinois College and Beloit College, then finished the week with a 25-point, 6-rebound effort against Lawrence University. For the week, the junior business administration and communications and theatre arts major averaged 19 points per game on 69-percent shooting (24-of-35), made 8-of-9 free throws, and grabbed 6.3 rebounds per game to go with five assists, three blocks and four steals.
