Trio named All-MWC

A trio of Monmouth College cross country runners earned All-Midwest Conference honors at
last weekend’s MWC Championship meet.
Senior Charlie Sunderlage
(Sycamore, Ill./Central), junior Matt Hargleroad (Oak Park, Ill./O.P.-River
Forest) and sophomore Cory Shook (Aledo, Ill./HS) finished 11th, 12th
and 14th, respectively. Runners finishing in the top 15 at the MWC meet are
named all-conference.
Shook ran his best time of the year,
completing the 8K course in 27:21, while Sunderlage and Hargleroad ran within 30 seconds
of their season bests.
As a team Monmouth finished as the
conference runner-up, their best finish in the MWC since taking the team championship in
1996. The MWC meet was hosted by Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.
