Fighting Scots to Scrimmage Saturday

MONMOUTH, Ill. - Area football fans will be able to catch a sneak peak of the Monmouth College Fighting Scots at Saturday's intra-squad scrimmage from 1-3 p.m. at Bobby Woll Memorial Field. The event will help the Scots tune up for their non-conference season opener on Sept. 7 in Dubuque, Iowa, against Loras College.

The volleyball team will also be home Saturday, starting their season by hosting the Monmouth Invitational at Glennie Gym. The Scots play Clarke College at 9 a.m. and Cornell College at 1 p.m. in pool action before competing in their final match at either 3 or 5 p.m. While construction of the Huff Athletic Center continues, entrance to the gym is limited to the east side. Visitors are encouraged to park along East Broadway or North Sixth Street and then walk to Glennie Gym.
