MONMOUTH, Ill. – Monmouth College’s Toby Lannholm (Galesburg,Ill./HS) turned in a superb pitching performance Saturday and as a result earned his first Midwest Conference Performer of the Week honor.

The senior pitcher hurled a four-hit, complete game shutout in his only action of the week, blanking Grinnell 3-0 while striking out four and walking one.

He lowered his overall ERA to 1.18, and his conference ERA finished at a perfect 0.00 through 14 innings.

On Friday, Monmouth will meet St. Norbert at Oshkosh, Wis., in the first round of the Midwest Conference tournament.

The defending conference champion Fighting Scots are seeking their second straight NCAA regional tournament berth.
