MONMOUTH,
Ill. – Monmouth College’s Nathan Gaskill, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound
senior wide receiver from Monmouth (HS), has been named to the Don
Hansen’s Football Gazette All-West Region third team.
Gaskill set numerous receiving and return
records at Monmouth. In 2003, he led the team in receptions (44),
yards (748), kickoff returns (19), kickoff return yards (441), punt
returns (14), punt return yards (110) and all-purpose yardage
(1,299). It was the third straight season he led team in receptions,
and he twice paced the team in kickoff return yards.
Gaskill’s career records include most total
runbacks (75), kickoff return yards (1,267), total runback yards
(1,404), receptions (119), receiving yards (2,106) and yards per
game (61.9) and he is tied for receiving touchdowns (19) and kickoff
returns (56).
“Nathan is a tremendously gifted athlete. He
excelled in everything we asked him to do,” said coach Steve Bell.
“He is a great example of the kind of student-athlete we’re
producing at Monmouth.”
The All-West Region team is selected by a
panel of sports information directors representing football playing
schools in the region.
A business major, Gaskill is the son of
Linda Gaskill of Monmouth.
