MONMOUTH, Ill. – Monmouth College’s Chad Scott (Pontiac, IL/HS) has been named the golf season’s first Midwest Conference Performer of the Week.

The junior was the medalist at the 36-hole Prairie Fire Classic last weekend in Galesburg.

In less than ideal playing conditions which included high winds, rain and snow, he carded a one-under 71 on Friday at Soangetaha Country Club and followed that up with a 76 on Saturday to win the event, which included golfers from 10 teams.
