MONMOUTH, Ill. –For the sixth straight year,
the Monmouth College men’s soccer team has placed at least three
players on the All-Midwest Conference team.
In a vote of the league’s coaches, senior
midfielders Mark Allen (Milan, Ill./Sherrard) and Fabian Calderon
(Bridgeview, Ill./Argo) and sophomore midfielder Brain Potter
(Hudson, Ill./Normal West) were named to the second team.
Allen, who picked up his fourth All-MWC
selection, led the Fighting Scots in shot-on-goal percentage (.676)
and was second in goals (6) and points (13). He finished his career
with 23 goals as is the first Monmouth soccer player ever to receive
four straight All-MWC honors.
Potter and Calderon were first time
selections.
