MONMOUTH, Ill. – Monmouth College freshman Heather Gerard of Grinnell, Iowa (HS), came up big for the Fighting Scots last weekend and has been named the Midwest Conference Performer of the Week in tennis.

Playing in her hometown, Gerard posted her first singles victory of the season in a match against Grinnell College. Gerard posted a 7-6 (7-2), 6-3 victory at No. 5 singles.

A biology major, Gerard is the daughter of Linda Gerard and Bill Gerard, both of Grinnell.
