MONMOUTH, Ill. — Andy Moore, a 6-foot-5
forward from Ottawa Township High School, plans to enroll at
Monmouth College next fall and continue his basketball career with
the Fighting Scots.
“I’m very pleased that Andy has selected
Monmouth College,” said Dr. Terry Glasgow, the team’s coach and the
athletic director at Monmouth, who has posted a record of 439-278 in
32 seasons. “He’s a fine student and a very good basketball player.”
The statistics prove Glasgow’s point. Moore
led the Pirates in scoring and free throw percentage and was third
in rebounding. For his efforts, he was voted the team’s co-MVP,
first team All-NCIC and second team All-Area.
“Andy is an outstanding shooter with good
size and quickness,” said Glasgow, who projects Moore as a wing
player for the Scots. “We look for him to make an immediate
contribution.”
Moore, the son of David and Peggy Moore,
plans to major in business management at Monmouth.
