MONMOUTH, Ill. – Monmouth College’s Zach Barr hasn’t taken a day off in over a year and it’s paying dividends this fall.

The junior from Roseville, Ill. (Roseville HS), was named the Midwest Conference Performer of the Week in men’s cross country for his performance in Wisconsin Saturday.

Barr was the individual champion and led Monmouth College to a third-place finish at the Lawrence Invitational, completing the 8K course in 26:31.53, 18 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.

The meet was held at the same course that will host this year's MWC Championship Meet. Six of the 10 league schools competed in the meet.

A physical education major, Barr is the son of Terry and Jeanne Barr of Roseville.
