MONMOUTH,
Ill. – Monmouth College’s Chad Scott (Pontiac, Ill./HS) has picked
up where he left off last spring and has been rewarded with the
season’s first Midwest Conference Performer of the Week honor in
men’s golf.
Competing at Soangetaha Country Club in
Galesburg in the Prairie Fire Classic, Scott shot the best round of
the day with an even-par 72 Saturday and finished eighth. The senior
posted a two-round total of 149. More importantly, Scott keyed the
Fighting Scots to a second-place finish at the 13-team meet.
Monmouth’s 605 was the best 36-hole score by the team in nearly
three decades.
A political science major, Scott is the son
of Therese Scott and Tom Scott, both of Pontiac.
