MONMOUTH,
Ill. – Monmouth College’s Lance Everhart (Morton, Ill./HS) has
earned his first Midwest Conference Performer of the Week honor in
men’s tennis.
The senior had a big week, coming through
for the Fighting Scots no matter if they won or lost as a team.
Partnered with Ryan Bruso at No. 1 doubles, Everhart posted
victories in a 7-0 loss to Beloit and a 6-1 setback against Lake
Forest.
He had the lone point in the latter match,
winning at No. 1 singles. Everhart also went 2-for-2 in both singles
and doubles in the Scots’ 7-0 wins vs. Rockford and Concordia-River
Forest. For the week, he was 4-0 in doubles and 3-1 in singles.
A business major, Everhart is the son of
David and Patricia Everhart of Morton.
