Monmouth College’s Hebeler is MWC
Performer of the Week
Release Date: December 13, 2005
MONMOUTH,
Ill. – Monmouth College senior guard Chris Hebeler (Fulton,
Ill./Fulton) got the Fighting Scots back on the winning track last
week, and in the process he set a new school record and captured his
first Midwest Conference Performer of the Week honor in men’s
basketball.
Hebeler set the Monmouth record for three-pointers in a game when he
drained 12-of-17 long range shots in an 87-80 win over Aurora
University last week. The senior’s long range bombs also contributed
to the team record of 20 three-pointers in a game. On two separate
occasions, Hebeler hit five treys in succession. In 33 minutes of
action, he also pulled down four defensive rebounds, added three
assists and one steal while committing only one turnover from his
point guard position. His 38 points for the contest ranks him eighth
all-time on the Scots honor roll for points in a game.
A biopsychology major, Hebeler is the son of Ron and Pam Hebeler of
Fulton.
