MONMOUTH,
Ill. – Monmouth College sophomore forward Trevor Neff (Morris,
Ill./Coal City) led the Fighting Scots to a season-ending victory
over arch-rival Knox Saturday and was rewarded for his efforts with
the Midwest Conference Performer of the Week honor in men’s soccer.
Neff, who picked up his first Performer of the Week honor, scored
the game-winning goals in the Fighting Scots’ final two games.
Against Illinois College, Neff tallied the match’s first goal in the
47th minute and added another just 12 minutes later. In the season
finale, he collected the game-winner just six minutes into the
match.
Neff led the team in goals (6) and shared the lead in points (12) as
the, who finished 6-7-3, Scots tripled their win total from last
season.
A history major, he is the son of Peter and Patricia Neff of Morris.
