MC’s Horneck is MWC Performer of the Week

MONMOUTH, Ill. – A four goal outburst has landed Monmouth College’s Amy Horneck (Hermiston, Ore./Hermiston) the latest Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week honor in women’s soccer.

Horneck, a senior forward, had her 16-match scoring streak stopped last week, but started another with four goals in the first half of the Fighting Scots’ 8-1 win over Ripon last weekend. She netted the game winner just 15 seconds into the match and currently leads the league with 25 points.

A chemistry major, she is the daughter of Don and Vicki Horneck of Hermiston.
