MC’s Frantz named MWC Performer of the Week

MONMOUTH, Ill. – Monmouth College freshman Cassie Frantz (Macomb, Ill./Macomb) is raising a racket within the Midwest Conference tennis competition, literally.

Frantz went undefeated at No. 3 singles for the Fighting Scots last week in league play and was rewarded with her first Midwest Conference Performer of the Week honor.

Frantz defeated opponents from Knox, St. Norbert and Beloit in straight sets and then teamed with sophomore Shauna Skowronski to post a victory over Knox in No.1 doubles competition.

A math major, she is the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Kerry Frantz of Macomb.
