MC’s Terwelp named MWC Performer of
the Week

 MONMOUTH,
Ill. – Monmouth College’s Joe Terwelp (Quincy, Ill./Notre Dame)
picked up this season where he left off and has been rewarded with
the season’s first Midwest Conference Performer of the Week honor in
men’s basketball.
The junior center is averaging 20.5 points per game through the
first four games. In the season opener against Division II Central
Missouri State, he poured in 24 points and followed that with 18, 17
and 23 points in the Scots’ next three games.
On the season, Terwelp is shooting 50 percent from the floor and has
pulled down 6.5 rebounds per game. He had five steals in a win
against MacMurray.
The Fighting Scots are off to a 3-1 starting heading into a
conference road trip Friday and Saturday at Carroll College and
Lawrence University.
