Monmouth College’s Yeast is MWC
Performer of the Week

MONMOUTH,
Ill. – Monmouth College sophomore center Ashley Yeast (Sciota,
Ill./West Prairie) helped the Fighting Scots to a 2-1 week and
landed her first Midwest Conference Performer of the Week honor in
women’s basketball.
Yeast’s week included a 13-point, 15-rebound effort in a 58-54 win
over Illinois College. The 6-1 sophomore followed up with a
17-point, 14-rebound night in a 66-63 win over league-leading
Lawrence University. In a week-ending 54-52 loss to St. Norbert,
Yeast pulled down 15 rebounds while scoring nine points. She also
added six steals, three blocks and two assists in the three games.
For the week, the sophomore averaged 13 points and 14.6 rebounds.
Yeast leads the MWC in rebounds (11.8 rpg) and in double-doubles
(11).
An accounting/physical education major, Yeast is the daughter of
Stephen and Judy Yeast of Sciota.
