Staley is MWC Performer of the Week

 MONMOUTH, Ill. – A top 10 finish on
a big stage has landed Monmouth College freshman Clay Staley (Hanna
City, Ill./Illini Bluffs) his first Midwest Conference Performer of
the Week honor in men’s cross country.
Staley placed ninth out of 450 runners at last week’s
Brissman-Lundeen Invitational held on the Credit Island Course in
Davenport, Iowa. His 8K time of 25:53 was tops among his Midwest
Conference competitors at the meet and ranks him second in the
league this season. The course will also host the NCAA Midwest
Regional in November.
