Monmouth College’s Daniels is MWC
Performer of the Week
Release Date: September 12, 2006
MONMOUTH,
Ill. – Monmouth College senior running back Dante Daniels (Waukegan,
Ill./Gurnee-Warren) led the Fighting Scots to a league-opening
victory over Lawrence University Saturday and was rewarded for his
efforts with the Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week
honor.
Daniels streaked for a career-high 205 yards rushing, just 13 yards
shy of the school record set by Monmouth College Hall of Famer Ron
Baker. His four rushing touchdowns, including a career-best 71 yard
scamper for a score, tied the school record, and he is the only back
in the conference to rush for over 100 yards in each of his team’s
first two games.
