MC’s Haffner sets record, named MWC

 MONMOUTH,
Ill. – Monmouth College senior wide receiver Evan Haffner (Canton,
Ill./Canton) made his school record 124th pass reception against
Carroll College Saturday and was named Midwest Conference Offensive
Performer of the Week honor.
Haffner caught 10 passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns as the
Fighting Scots downed the Pioneers to stay unbeaten in Midwest
Conference play. The preseason All-American made the catches against
a Carroll defense that had been ranked 16th in the nation. In the
process, he passed Nathan Gaskill in career receptions at Monmouth.
