MC’s St. George is MWC Performer of
the Week

 MONMOUTH,
Ill. – Monmouth College senior forward Tom St. George (Galesburg,
Ill./Galesburg) led the Fighting Scots to a season-opening victory
over Cornell College Saturday and was rewarded for his efforts with
the Midwest Conference Performer of the Week honor in men’s soccer.
St. George netted two goals, including the game-winner with less
than a minute to play, as the Fighting Scots edged Cornell 3-2. His
first career goal gave Monmouth a 1-0 lead in the first seven
minutes of the contest.
