Monmouth College’s Neira is MWC
Performer of the Week

 MONMOUTH,
Ill. – Monmouth College freshman forward Amanda Neira (Burlington,
Iowa/Burlington) made the most of her collegiate debut and was named
the Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week in women’s
soccer.
After sitting out the Fighting Scots opener with a knee injury,
Neira scored the game-winning goal in her first collegiate action, a
4-3 victory over the University of Dubuque. She also collected the
game-winner and an assist in the Fighting Scots’ 5-1
conference-opening win over Illinois College Saturday.
Monmouth improved to 2-0-1.
