Monmouth College to host track and
cross country camp

MONMOUTH, Ill. – Area athletes will
have a unique opportunity to receive instruction from one of the
elite track programs in the Midwest this July when Monmouth College
coach Roger Haynes and his staff conducts a four-day track and field
and cross country camp at Monmouth College.
The camp, for boys and girls entering 7th through 12th grades, will
provide instruction on the theory and techniques in competing in a
variety of events. Video will be used to help the athletes see the
proper form and technique for each event.
Fighting Scots athletes will help provide the instruction for the
camp which, costs $40 if paid prior to July 1. Registrations after
July 1 are $45. Teams may receive a discount when registering as
groups of three or more.

Monmouth College’s track program has produced over 140 All-Americans
and four national champions. The Fighting Scots men’s track team has
won six consecutive outdoor conference team titles while the women
have won nine team titles over the last 11 years. The teams combined
have produced nearly 50 Midwest Conference team titles.
