Monmouth College volleyball places
three on All-MWC list

MONMOUTH, Ill. – For the eighth
consecutive year, the Monmouth College volleyball team has landed at
least three members on the All-Midwest Conference team.
In a vote of the league’s coaches, junior middle hitter Kendra James
(Fulton, Ill./Fulton) was named to the first team. Senior outside
hitter Kari Jefferson (Augusta, Ill./Southeastern) and junior setter
Colleen Wilkin (Fulton, Ill./Fulton) were named to the second team.
James led the Fighting Scots in kills (352), kills per game (2.91),
blocks (121) and blocks per game (1.00). She is second on the school
honor roll for kills (25) and blocks (10) in a four-game match. Her
1,048 career kills ranks her fifth in school history and her 248
career blocks assists is a school record.
Wilkin set the school record with a .328 attack percentage. She also
led the team in assists (1,073) and assists per game (8.87). Her
2,966 career assists ranks her second in Fighting Scots history.
Jefferson ranked third on the team in solo blocks (15) and fourth in
kills (219) and kills per game (1.89). She is also on the Scots
honor roll for career games played (391).
James picked up her third all-league honor. This was Wilkin’s second
selection and Jefferson’s first.
The Fighting Scots finished the year 17-16, marking their sixth
consecutive winning season.
