MONMOUTH, Ill. – The Monmouth College men’s basketball team saw
an improved record this season, something that did not go unnoticed
by the league coaches who rewarded the Fighting Scots by naming
three players to the honorable mention All-Midwest Conference team.
Junior center Joe Terwelp (Quincy, Ill./Notre Dame) was named to the
squad for the second consecutive year. He led the Scots in rebounds
(125) and scoring average (16.7) while making 55 percent of his
shots.
Senior Raun Singleton (Roseville, Ill./Roseville) finished his
career with his first all-conference selection. He set the school
record for career free throw accuracy, making 85 percent of his
charity tosses. The guard also made 41 percent of his field goals
and was second on the team in scoring average (15.5).
Blaise Rogers (Forest City, Ill./Midwest Central) received his first
all-league honor. The junior guard led the team in assists and
showed deadly accuracy, hitting 49 percent of his field goals and 42
percent from three-point range. His 13.8 points per game was third
on the Scots.
