Jahn named MWC Performer of the
Week

MONMOUTH,
Ill. – Monmouth College’s Laura Jahn (Palos Park, Ill./Stagg) led
the Fighting Scots to a three game post-Christmas winning streak and
has been named the Midwest Conference Performer of the Week in
women’s basketball.
The senior forward posted a pair of double-doubles in two wins last
week and in doing so, gave the Scots their first conference victory
of the season.
The Scots’ MWC win against Illinois College came down to the wire as
Jahn poured in 18 points and pulled down 16 rebounds in the 71-70
win. She nailed a pair of free throws with eight seconds left to
secure the victory.
Earlier in the week, Jahn scored 11 points to go with 12 rebounds in
a 70-52 win over Eureka.
Jahn averaged 13.5 points for the week along with 14 rebounds. She
added three assists, three blocks and two steals while making 11 of
12 free throws as Monmouth improved to 7-4 overall.
