Babos named MWC Performer of the
Week

 MONMOUTH,
Ill. – Senior thrower Jenny Babos (Leland, Ill./Somonauk) continued
the Monmouth College streak of Midwest Conference Performers of the
Week with her selection as the women’s field event POW.
Competing at the DePauw University Invitational last weekend, Babos
finished second in the weight throw with a school-record toss of
50’11-1/2”. She is now 12th nationally in that event. Her personal
best in the shot put (39’10-1/2”) placed her eighth at the meet. She
currently has the top marks in the conference in both the weight
throw and the shot put.
A public relations major, she is the daughter of George and Karen
Babos of Leland.
