Stuart named MWC Performer of the Week

College senior Alex Stuart (Kirkwood, Ill./Yorkwood) had a good day
at last Saturday’s Viking Olympics at Augustana College and has been
honored as the Midwest Conference Field Performer of the Week.
Stuart, an all-American in the indoor triple jump, did not
compete in the event at last weekend’s rain-shortened meet, but had
a provisional qualifying mark in the javelin. His throw of 191’2"
was just three inches shy of his personal best and earned him first
place in the event.
A physical education major, Stuart is the son of Stacy Dutton of
Kirkwood and Bryan Stuart of Monmouth.
