Monmouth College’s Lane receives conference honor Release Date:

 MONMOUTH,
Ill. –
Monmouth College’s Annie Lane (St. Louis, Mo./Kirkwood) had a hand
in four first-place finishes in last weekend’s home dual meet and
was rewarded with the Midwest Conference Performer of the Week honor
in women’s swimming.
Lane swam a leg in the opening 200-yard medley relay and swept
her three individual events, taking first in the 200-yard freestyle
and the 100- and 200-yard butterfly. The sophomore logged the
conference’s top time in the 100-yard butterfly (1:04.37) and the
200-yard butterfly (2:24.49). Her efforts led the Scots women to a
160-89 win over Lake Forest College, the Scots first dual meet win
over the Foresters in the history of the program.
A history major, Lane is the daughter of William and Becky Lane
of St. Louis.
