MWC PERFORMER OF THE WEEK |
Robinson is MWC Performer of the Week
September 27, 2007
Monmouth
College sophomore goalkeeper Owen Robinson (Bourbonnais,
Ill./Bradley-Bourbonnais) continued his shutout streak and was
named the Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week in
men’s soccer.
Robinson held Cornell scoreless Sunday in a 3-0 win. Earlier
in the week, the sophomore keeper kept Grinnell out of the net
before play was halted in the 34th minute due to lightning in a
game that was suspended until Oct. 10. He has not allowed a goal
in his last 322 minutes.
Graeber is MWC Performer of the Week
September 3, 2007
Monmouth College junior defender Josh Graeber
(Bradley, Ill./Bourbonnais) helped the Fighting Scots to a
season-opening 4-0 blanking of Eureka College and was named the
Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week in men’s
soccer.
Graeber and the rest of the Monmouth defense
made it easy for Scots goalkeeper Owen Robinson as they did not
allow the Red Devils to post a shot on goal. The junior also
posted an assist on Trevor Neff’s second goal of the game.
