Our training program which focuses on
quality not quantity includes:

A two-day practice format is
in place. Workouts begin October 1st. The average practice yardage is
approximately 5000 to 7500 yards per practice. Practices will be
specialized toward each swimmer's training category (sprints, middle
distance, distance).

There is a strong focus on
stroke technique built around each swimmer's core body strength. The
focus on core strength is designed to prevent injury and improve stroke
efficiency.

Underwater videotape
analysis and extensive stroke drills for each stroke. Each individual
receives one-on-one analysis to help the swimmer reach their full
potential.

A full dry-land program is
available tailored to each individual, including weight training,
plyometrics and shoulder injury prevention
programs.

Each swimmer will be given
instruction on basic training principles, nutrition, mental preparation
and academic time-management.
