The 1998 Higher
Education Act Mandatory Good Fair Effort for the National Voter
Registration Act reads, in part, "The institution will make good faith
effort to distribute a mail voter registration form, requested and
received from the State, to each student enrolled in a degree or
certificate program and physically in attendance at the institution, and
to make such forms widely available to students at the institution."
Monmouth College provides several voter registration programs
each academic year. As part our annual campus celebration of
Constitution Day, a voter’s registration drive is made. Campus voter
registration drives are widely publicized and are open to the entire
campus community. Throughout the school year, individuals can also meet
individually with the Associate Dean of Students who is authorized as a
deputy registrar for McLean County to complete the registration process.
