Meet the 2009-10 Wackerle Career
AssistantsThe Wackerle Career
Assistants are paraprofessionals who are trained and available to help
students with career development. Students who have questions or are in
need of career assistance should feel free to contact any C.A. anytime.
C.A.s provide assistance by:
- Reviewing and critiquing resumes
- Offering general career advice
- Staffing the Wackerle Wednesday table
- Making referrals to Wackerle professionals
- Planning and executing programs and events

Why are you
looking forward to being a CA?
To learn more about resumes and business etiquette.
If you could have any job for one day, what would it be?
I would want to anchor on CNN news. I think it would be
interesting to see what it is like to work at a major
broadcasting company.
What has been your best college experience so far?
The best college experience I have had is being the event
co-chair for Relay for Life.
How did you spend your summer break?
Working at Hy-Vee and interning in Congressman Hare's office in
Galesburg.

Career
Aspirations:
I would like to be a public relations/media specialist for an
organization where I can feel like I'm really making a
difference.
Why are you looking forward to being a CA?
I'm excited to assist with program planning on campus as well as
help students with their resumes.
If you could have any job for one day, what would it be?
I would be a stunt double in an action movie because the
adrenaline rush would be exhilarating.
What has been your best college experience so far?
Being a Scot Ambassador has been a good leadership experience
because it has taught me a lot about the college. It has
also helped me learn how to answer unexpected questions on the
spot, which I think will be a valuable skill in the future.
How did you spend your summer break?
I had an internship with the Susan G. Komen For the Cure
Foundation where I assisted with a variety of media related
activities. I also worked part time as a bank teller.

Career Aspirations:
I want to work with young kids,
either in an early development program or in a counseling
setting.
Why are you looking forward to being a CA?
I can't wait to help my peers develop awesome resumes!
If you could have any job for one day, what would it be?
If I could have any job for one day, I would be a pilot so
that I could travel to underdeveloped countries to drop food and
other needed items.
What has been your best college experience so far?
I love being a Scot Ambassador! Being able to give back to
the college by giving college tours and assisting the admissions
office with some of their needs has been awesome!
How did you spend your summer break?
I
worked at my hometown church as the
junior high/high school youth pastor and went on a mission trip
to Nashville, TN.
